It's been consistently over 40 degrees in this shithole. Today we touched 43 degrees again, and it's probably about that right now, and it's just unbearable. Seriously, I'm just sitting here with all the windows wide open, not doing anything at all, and I'm dripping sweat.

I fucking hate this country.

From never having read one of your posts before, I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume you live somewhere that uses the metric system and happens to be south of the Equator.

Either that, or you live at the North Pole and migrated to the 34th parallel.

Yep, and yep. Southern Brazil, to be more precise, which is pretty extreme temperature wise. Right now, it's just unbearable, with Brazilian homes devoid of any sort of thermostat/central climate control/stuff to keep you cool.

Yea. I tried. How bad was it. I didn't notice the space bar didn't work until it was too late.

The first phrase would be more along the lines of "Está cerca de 16 aqui", while the second phrase is pretty much right, but, since the portuguese equivalent of "to be" has two forms, "ser" and "estar", it would be more appropriate to say "Vai estar mais ou menos 40 em três meses"

Alternatively, "in", when referring to a future time, can also be translated as "daqui" as in "mais ou menos 40 daqui a três meses".

Ah, yeah, 43 C is a bit warm. And by a bit I mean that's damn near unbearable...especially with a heat index on top of it. Then it really is unbearable.
